Research for Twinklewood

I love the parasitic aspect of fiber optics. Although I know it's the light traveling through a tunnel I almost feel like the fibers are sucking the light inwards only to shoot it out in another place.

I am interested in the idea of bending/routing and channeling light through material. Research in this led me to the use of fiber optics and led's. By placing the led at the base I am able to channel its light through the fibers. Hopefully using the fiber optics without the normal kitsch that seems to be generally attached to it.

Wasted Bench

I spent several months cleaning, planing, joining and finishing scrap wood. The end result became this bench. The reclamation process is tedious and strenuous but it proves to be valuable.
